Bow & Stern is a local family-owned restaurant that has been serving Abbotsford since 2014, Chilliwack since 2020 and Brentwood Since 2024. We specialize in seafood, offering a variety of fresh oysters and other delicious dishes. Our dedicated chefs are constantly innovating and perfecting our menu to provide exciting new options and excellent quality.
We are currently looking for an experienced SHIFT LEADER/SERVER to join our dynamic team at Bow & Stern located in ABBOTSFORD
As a Shift Leader, you will be play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, ensuring high-quality of service, and maintaining a positive customer experience. Reporting directly to the Manager, as a Shift Leader, you will also assist in Management duties such as: Opening & Closing of the restaurant, Completing daily reports, handling any guest issues or complaints & any administrative tasks set out by the Manager.
As a Shift Leader/ Server, your shifts will vary between serving only shifts and Shifts where you will have a section as well as being the Manager on Duty. You will receive your server tips plus support tips for any scheduled shifts you are the MOD.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
- Passion for service, demonstrating a “guest first” approach always
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the capacity to develop and motivate staff to achieve challenging goals
- Strong understanding of restaurant operational controls and financials
- A thorough understanding of Food Safe and WorkSafe requirements
- Experience with monitoring and controlling inventory
- Must be available to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Hourly wage $19
