We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Restaurant Manager who leads by example and takes ownership of daily operations.
Position Overview
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, leading the service team, maintaining service standards, and supporting overall business performance. This role requires strong leadership, accountability, and consistent on-floor presence.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations
Oversee daily FOH operations and ensure service standards are met
Lead pre-shift meetings and manage floor execution
Ensure compliance with AHS, liquor laws, and workplace safety standards
Monitor cleanliness, ambiance, and guest flow
Leadership & Team Management
Hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members
Create and manage staff schedules
Address performance concerns promptly and professionally
Foster a positive, respectful workplace culture
Guest Experience
Actively engage with guests to ensure satisfaction
Resolve guest concerns in a calm and professional manner
Maintain Aurora’s upscale hospitality standards
Financial & Administrative
Support inventory control and cost management
Monitor labour percentages and sales performance
Complete nightly reports and cash reconciliation
Assist ownership with operational planning
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience
Proven reliability and consistent attendance record
Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills
Valid ProServe certification (required)
Knowledge of Alberta labour standards and liquor regulations
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
