Prado Coffee is coming to Calgary
We’re opening our first Prado Coffee in Calgary and we’re pretty excited about it!
Prado started in Vancouver with great coffee, good food and neighbourhood cafes that feel genuinely welcoming. Now we’re bringing Prado to Calgary and looking for baristas to help us open the doors, build the team and create a cafe people want to come back to.
About the Role
We’re looking for people who love coffee, care about people and care about doing a great job.
As a barista at Prado, you’ll be part of the everyday energy of the cafe. You’ll make drinks, serve customers, keep the space clean and organized and work with the team to create a warm, welcoming experience.
Coffee experience is great, but it is not required. We’re happy to train the right people. What matters most is that you’re reliable, friendly, eager to learn and able to work well as part of a team.
What You’ll Do
Make and serve exceptional coffee, espresso and other coffee beverages
Welcome customers and provide friendly, thoughtful service
Take orders accurately and work efficiently during busy periods
Prepare and serve food items as needed
Keep the cafe clean, stocked and organized
Follow Prado’s standards for coffee, food, cleanliness and hospitality
Work well with the team and communicate clearly
Stay calm, focused and helpful during busy shifts
Learn about coffee, service and how Prado does things
Jump in where needed to support the store
What We’re Looking For
A genuine interest in coffee
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong customer service skills
Reliability and good communication
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Good attention to detail
Confidence working independently and part of a team
Previous cafe or coffee experience is an asset
Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends and holidays as needed
