Tangent Design Engineering is looking for a Project Manager who thrives in a dynamic environment to support exciting projects. Working alongside technical teams, including the Technical Product Managers, you will help to ensure a smooth journey from blueprint to reality.

Tangent is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and goal driven individual who can nurture strong working relationships and has a passion for managing technical teams that will deliver exceptional results to the client.

Note: This position is required on site Monday to Friday at our location in Calgary, AB. It is also a 12-month contract (mat leave replacement) but could potentially lead to a permanent, full-time position.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the Project Manager will include:

• Representing Tangent as the primary customer contact and build/maintain customer relations while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Collaborating with the project team and Team Leads to manage project budget, resource workloads, schedules, scope, and reports to management
• Ensuring project tasks, milestones, and team hours are accurately reflected in time tracking software
• Updating customers on project status
• Organizing and facilitating project meetings, as well as managing associated project documents
• Ensuring timely completion of project documentation in accordance with the QMS system and processes
• Recognizing, creating, and implementing project process improvement opportunities
• Reviewing monthly invoices for accuracy against project records

On your resume, we are seeking the following qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in engineering or other technical degree
• 3-5 years’ experience in project management or project coordination; PMP designation is an asset
• Experience with hardware product design, manufacturing, and quality control systems
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Discuss your project management experience including your success stories and shortcomings.
• Explain how you've effectively communicated with team members or resolved issues in your previous positions.
