The Position
The Surveillance Technician is accountable for the installation and maintenance of surveillance equipment including surveillance cameras, digital recording systems and access control systems for the protection of Company assets, staff, and guests, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Service, support, and install large comprehensive integrated electronic security systems, including complex access control, CCTV, and digital recording systems
· Ensure the functioning of surveillance and security systems through maintenance, repairs, upgrades and additions
· Adhere to departmental quality standards and comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures
What You’ll Require:
· A minimum education level of a post-secondary diploma in the Electronics Engineering Technician field or equivalent working experience and education
· Experience in the related field of one (1) or more years
· Analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
· Working knowledge of alarm panels, systems, card access, video matrix and digital recording systems, which includes necessary operating systems. General knowledge of electronics, components, construction and cabling standards
· Basic electronics (including but not limited to general understanding of computer hardware and operating systems, as well as fundamentals of programming)
· General understanding of building / fire codes, proficient mechanical aptitude, low voltage and network cabling standards
· The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
