The Gateway to Your Future
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative will assist in promoting and driving business to the property through prospecting, qualifying, sales calls, attending trade shows and community events, preparing proposals and contracts, completing weekly sales reports and conducting site tours. Using excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, this role will assist in the development and implementation of the sales and marketing plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acts as a point of contact for the client; expands customer base and maintains positive client relations.
  • Identifies client needs of both the Casino and Hotel & Convention Centre through market analysis.
  • Maintains and utilizes database for client relations and customer solicitation. Completes all sales forecast, activity and production reports.
  • Attends trade shows and community events. Positions the Casino, Hotel and Convention Centre strategically within the marketplace, maintain and enhance its excellent reputation.
  • Assists with the implementation of online social media strategies and the execution of an E-marketing strategy.
  • Investigates new technology and enhancements to increase revenue and brand awareness.
  • Actively pursues opportunities for the hotel through sourcing new business and following up on all functions to maximize rebooking potential.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the casino, hotel, and convention market.

What You Bring
  • Previous Sales experience with a minimum of two years of experience within the Hospitality or Tourism Industry
  • Diploma or Degree in related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, and experience
  • Experience with the development and execution of business, marketing, sales action plans and operating budgets
  • Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff, investors, and owners in a professional manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, publishing software, presentation programs, email and web browsers
  • Some travel required
