Job Description

Purpose of your role

We are looking for a passionate people leader to join the North American sales team, as a Manager, New Direct Client Sales. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for achieving growth and sales targets through the effective management of a team of Business Development Managers. This involves developing sales strategies, providing training and guidance to team members, analyzing sales data, identifying market trends, and fostering strong client/partner/intercompany relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.

We have offices across North America with the largest offices in Toronto, Edmonton, and San Francisco. As this job will support a team of BDMs in Western Canada and the USA, we are looking for someone who can work Mountain and Pacific time zone hours.Ability to travel on occasion (i.e. 1-2 times annually) within NA is required.

What you do

  • Lead, motivate and manage a team of Business Development Managers to achieve sales targets and KPI goals
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share.
  • Provide coaching, training, guidance and overall support to sales team members to improve performance and enhance skills.
  • Monitor sales activities, analyze performance metrics, and provide regular reports to upper management.
  • Support Business Development Managers in sales calls if required.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, and improvement in sales process and procedures.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and key stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments such as dealing, marketing, product, client due diligence, and sales operations to align sales efforts with overall business goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Related university/college degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of leader/sales experience in FX, payments, financial services, ecommerce and B2B.
  • Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing
  • Previous experience in managing sales teams
  • Exceptional Leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Salesforce, GONG

The salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 CAD. Exact salary offered will be dependent on multiple factors including level of experience, job-related knowledge, skills, work location, etc. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a variable bonus and/or commission.As part of the compensation package, benefits are also offered for all full-time roles and part-time roles working a minimum of 24 hours a week.
