What you’ll do:

  • Work with the Director, People Operations to shape an HR operations strategy that aligns and moves the Company towards continued growth, innovation, and improvement.
  • Lead the development, maintenance and effective deployment/communication of all HR policies, procedures, systems, and directives.
  • Provide the management team with coaching and guidance on a broad spectrum of HR matters including employee relations, compensation, and performance management.
  • Develop, present and report on HR metrics for the entire organization.
  • Provide hands-on HR support, coaching, and guidance to the business operations of Eledone Management and TDF Group
  • Conduct investigations for high-risk employment relations issues. Take lead on employee relations resulting in litigation.
  • Advise managers and coach HR team on compensation matters, utilizing the classification system, pay structure and total compensation strategy.
  • Ensure HR strategy is executed in assigned business units and that talent management programs and initiatives are operationalized.
  • Provide HR policy guidance, interpretation, and compliance, managing risk for the business units.
  • Collaborate with managers on workforce planning and employee development.
  • Act as an employee champion and change agent, ensuring internal equity and staff wellness.
  • Work with managers in business units on disability claims and return to work/accommodations.
  • Lead the development of the human resource operations, including the capacity of building the team, as well as oversee the organizational integration and adoption of sound people practices and procedures at all organization levels.
  • Provide coaching to improve performance of team members and drive accountability.
  • Report any significant changes to regulations, laws and accepted human resources practices to senior leadership and management as needed.
  • Seek and review potential blockers of various HR processes, ensuring improvement on daily tasks and suggesting automation where needed.


Accountabilities

  • Oversee the creation and execution of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation parity, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, onboarding and performance management.
  • Develop methods, tools and metrics to measure effectiveness of HR programming (KPI’s). Analyze results and based on finding, develop recommendations for improvement
  • Oversee the operationalization of the talent management programs
  • Play an active role in change management planning on transformational programs / activities.
  • Keep accurate costings, manage program spend, and administer the HR budget while assuring project timelines.
  • Manage external vendor relations providing support to the HR function.

  • Confident in dealing with ambiguity
  • Effective in a role that emphasizes problem-solving and achieving objectives where guidelines and policies are in place


What you'll need:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, or any related field
  • 10+ years of experience in progressive Human Resources roles.
  • 5+ years’ experience at management level
  • Thorough understanding of employment-related legislation and how it relates to the implementation of policy and process in an organizational setting
