About the role

We are looking for an experienced E-Commerce Project Manager Team Lead to spearhead our e-commerce project management team, focusing on delivering outstanding e-commerce solutions for our clients. This role combines strong leadership qualities, in-depth knowledge of e-commerce project management and a track record of managing full project workflows to meet expectations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in leveraging e-commerce software, such as Salsify, and understand key e-commerce terminologies like FIS (First-In-Series), NIS (Next-In-Series) and a general understanding of ADA Compliance and SEO.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, ensuring professional growth and high performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback and facilitate development opportunities.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding processes for new team members.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment and work closely with senior management to streamline workflows.


Project Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of e-commerce projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and deliverables.
  • Manage project plans, identifying the necessary talent and resources to achieve project success.
  • Address and resolve any roadblocks or challenges, ensuring smooth project progression.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Tracking and leading clients through weekly project status reports.


Process and Workflow Optimization

  • Set and lead best practices in e-commerce.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and documentation.
  • Implement best practices for digital asset management, ensuring efficient content organization and adherence to platform standards.
  • Facilitate communication between client, client service, creative, strategy and production teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead post-mortem meetings to gather insights and apply learnings to future projects.

Key qualities and skills

  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with a passion for mentorship and development.
  • Significant experience in e-commerce project management, with knowledge of relevant software and terminologies.
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication abilities to foster internal and client relations.
  • Creative problem-solver with a collaborative spirit and a desire to lead by example.
  • Attention to detail and superior time management skills, paired with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.


Experience

  • BA or higher in Graphic Communications Management or a related field.
  • 7+ years of project management experience within an e-commerce setting.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management platforms, e-commerce systems like Salsify and legal and retailer requirements.
