Job Description

Altis Recruitment & Technology is currently looking for strategic and results-focused Account Manager based in Kelowna or Vancouver, to play a key role in growing our Broader Public Sector & Government Services staffing division. This role is perfect for someone passionate about diving into sales/business development, and someone who would enjoy building, developing and nurturing new and existing partnerships and client relationships.

This role will rely on your instincts to understand our clients’ roles and requirements, and our candidates’ career objectives, qualifications and skills. It will call on your superb customer service skills to bring all parties together and to treat others with respect and care. This position requires business development skills on the phone, in person, and in written presentation.


Responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:

  • Actively engaging with clients and responsible for expanding our presence within the broader public sector and government services marketplace across Western Canada
  • Identifying new markets and business opportunities to pursue
  • Retaining clients by providing superior customer service and staffing support
  • Ensuring we don’t miss opportunities for new business with existing accounts
  • Listening and drawing out the concerns and problems of clients to identify staffing solutions
  • Mushrooming existing users to generate new business and grow sales
  • Cross selling to identify opportunities for other divisions
  • Marketing candidate resources based on client needs
  • Resolving any issues that come up throughout the placement process
  • Negotiating and closing deals; handling complaints or objections
  • Conducting after placement service calls with both candidates and clients
  • Attending in-person and virtual meetings with top users and prospects
  • Participating in networking events and conferences on behalf of the company
  • Preparing and reporting on goals, sales, and prospects
  • Adhering to our high level of service standards and delivery



Qualifications & Experience

Must have:

  • 2+ years of direct experience within either staffing or sales, business development and/or account management
  • Prior experience working within an outreach driven seat and comfortable with cold outreach
  • Passion for creating and fostering new relationships
  • You are a driven professional who is self-motivated for achieving and exceeding individual and team goals
  • Focused on driving client/candidate success and delivering the ultimate client/candidate experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines
  • Natural curiosity about people, their backgrounds and experience
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Technical aptitude in the use of business software


Nice to have:

  • Previous staffing industry/public sector staffing experience considered a strong asset


Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
