Job Description
We are currently hiring Prep Cooks for our Maple Ridge Production facility! Must be able to work Sunday-Thursday 6:00am-2:00pm.
The ideal candidate is a team player who works well under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow with an experienced kitchen team and create exceptional food with the best ingredients. Red Seal Sponsorship is offered with Blacksmith Bakery for Culinary Apprentices.
*Position Requirements*
Must have at least 2 years experience in a fast paced restaurant kitchen in a similar role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, in fluent English.
A positive and team-oriented attitude.
Passion for the kitchen and for producing quality products every day.
You must be able to perform calmly and efficiently during high volume peak periods.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and a be a fast learner.
Willing to perform tasks such as cleaning, dishwashing and garbage handling.
Must work well within a restaurant team culture.

A Culinary Education is an asset.
Level 1 FoodSafe, Safe Food Handling or BASICS.fst Food Handler Certificate.

Physical Requirements*
Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs safely and must be able to stand for very long periods of time.
Able to work in warm conditions around equipment that generate heat.

Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
