The Job!

You are part of the senior leadership team with oversight of the Purchasing operations. You will:


  • Lead the Purchasing team, managing employee training, development and performance.
  • Ensure purchasing activities are within budget while remaining competitive and highly effective.
  • Assess metrics for the inventory in order to stay within budget.
  • Manage and develop relationships with suppliers and vendors, and handle contract/pricing negotiations.
  • Oversee and maintain inventory procedures
  • Manage rebate programs
  • Monitor product pricing, fluctuations, and trends.
  • Other tasks as required.


What you bring to the job

As the leader of the Purchasing team, you are adept at directing operations and developing a high-performing team. You have an eye for business growth and a talent for discovering opportunities. You take a strategic approach and value collaboration to achieve mutual success. You also have:


  • Post-secondary education in a relevant program.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in purchasing within the manufacturing and supply space.
  • Experience as a Performance Management Leader
  • High-level skillset in vendor/supplier management and contract and pricing negotiations.
  • Strong communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and adaptation, and ability to pivot quickly.
  • A designation in purchasing and/or supply chain
