POSITION SUMMARY


Directly responsible for the activities of warehouse, parts inventory, shipping and receiving. Determines how to best organize and arrange stock within the general storage plan; decides which locations are most suitable for assembling shipments; when to shift, consolidate, and arrange items; and the sequence of steps, methods, and procedures to complete assignments in a timely manner with a focus on filling orders timely. Typical work week is Monday through Friday, however additional time and/or travel may be needed on occasion.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Build and maintain warehouse, parts inventory and delivery system.
  • Inventory parts to maintain 70-90% of fill off the shelf with 100% of fill within 10 days.
  • Coordinate parts and delivery with factory and other world-wide dealers.
  • Manages and controls the parts inventory level, ensuring an adequate inventory and efficient use of warehouse space and requisitions or purchase additional items, as necessary.
  • Create and maintain parts inventory and pricing data in the ERP system.
  • Inspect parts site(s) to determine the extent of additional storage, maintenance or repairs needed.
  • Create policies and procedures for parts department.
  • Assist corporate Zoomlion with parts department set up, processes and operations procedures.
  • Inspect equipment used in the process of shipping and receiving, for wear and for conformance to specifications.
  • Provide training to staff to include forklift, overhead crane, safety, shipping & receiving process, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of shop and parts area.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Management or related field.

Experience:

  • 3 plus years of experience in leadership experience, including hiring, terminating and performance reviews
  • 5 plus years of experience in parts/inventory management
  • International distribution experience preferred.

Computer Skills:

Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

ERP knowledge and experience preferred in inventory control management systems (Business Central a plus).

Other Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic math skills

  • Mississauga, ON L5T 2L2: Relocate before starting work (required)
