Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Server to join our team at Il Fornello Sherwood Village. The Server will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking food and beverage orders, delivering meals promptly, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate is friendly, attentive, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining a professional and welcoming attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner

• Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage recommendations

• Accurately take and enter orders into the POS system

• Deliver food and beverages promptly and ensure quality service throughout the meal

• Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily features, and promotions

• Process payments and handle cash and card transactions accurately

• Maintain a clean and organized section and assist with opening and closing duties

• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills

• Smart Serve Certification (required in Ontario)

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Professional appearance and positive attitude

• Knowledge of Italian cuisine and wine service is considered an asset
