Michael’s Back Door is a well-established fine dining restaurant known for exceptional cuisine, warm hospitality, and a commitment to quality. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team.
Position Overview
As a Line Cook at Michael’s Back Door, you will play a key role in delivering consistently high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, professional kitchen. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining high culinary and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare and execute menu items to established recipes and plating standards
Work efficiently on assigned stations during service
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
Follow food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines at all times
Assist with prep work, stocking, and inventory as needed
Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and management
Support teammates to ensure smooth and timely service
Qualifications
Previous line cook experience preferred (fine dining experience an asset)
Strong knife skills and basic culinary techniques
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
Reliable, punctual, and detail-focused
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
