We are looking for a first cook who is comfortable and ready to make contemporary Mexican food predominantly from scratch.
A working knowledge of cooking principles is an asset. Existing work habits must include, organized, efficient, clean, fast and a team player. Must be able to sustain a decent work load while keeping a positive attitude.
Ensure adherence to Food safe practices
Ensure extreme kitchen cleanliness
Help meet financial targets
Work well under pressure, meeting production schedules and timelines for service periods
Conduct ongoing research of trends in the food industry
Assist in the design of menu items
All other related duties as deemed
Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge of Mexican Cuisine an asset
1-2 years previous experience in a high volume, full service restaurant required
Proven leadership skills; people development, floor management, time management
Proven passion and creativity for excellent customer service and hospitality
Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative and positive attitude
Wages competitive + generous tip pool and staff meal.
