The Opportunity:

Our client, a consumer goods company is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the Logistics and Warehouse teams, strategy, and project planning as well as corporate projects implementation.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Leading and mentoring the Logistics and Warehouse teams
  • Overseeing large facility and warehouse projects
  • Managing corporate projects, creating plans, monitoring progress, and resolving issues
  • Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Overseeing operations processes such as inventory distribution, inventory forecasting and recommending strategies to make improvements
  • Developing and maintaining project management templates and processes
  • Empowering teams to achieve corporate and departmental goals
  • Developing annual department objectives aligned with team KPIS
  • Establishing clear priorities, reviewing projects, and delegating tasks
  • Training and developing team members and addressing skill gaps
  • Setting individual performance goals, conducting feedback sessions and annual reviews
  • Supporting the teams in overcoming challenges and roadblocks
  • Overseeing annual budget development and vendor negotiations
  • Managing vendor relationships and ensuring KPIs are met
  • Monitoring returns processing KPIs


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Post-secondary education in supply chain management, business or related field
  • 4+ years of leadership experience with 2 years directly managing supervisor level employees
  • 3+ years of experiencing handling large-scale cross functional projects
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Analytical and detail-oriented problem solver
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office


Complimentary Experience:

  • PMP, Six Sigma or CCBA
  • Experience in an e-commerce and D2C environment
  • Experience using NetSuite
