Lead Host(ess) – Il Corvo, North Vancouver
Il Corvo is a new Italian restaurant in North Vancouver, rooted in handmade pasta, seasonal ingredients, and genuine hospitality. We’re looking for a confident and welcoming Lead Host(ess) to be the face of the restaurant and help set the tone for every guest’s experience.
At Il Corvo, the Lead Host(ess) plays an essential role in creating a warm first impression, managing the flow of service, and supporting the front-of-house team. You’ll combine organization, grace, and hospitality to ensure every guest feels truly cared for from the moment they walk in the door.
What You’ll Do
Greet and seat guests with warmth, efficiency, and genuine hospitality
Manage reservations and walk-ins using our booking system, ensuring smooth table flow during service
Communicate with the floor team and kitchen to coordinate seating and pacing
Anticipate guest needs and handle special requests or issues with professionalism and care
Train and guide the host team, ensuring consistent standards of greeting and guest interaction
Maintain an organized, polished front desk and entry area
Support management with administrative or service-related tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
At least 2 years of host or front desk experience in a restaurant setting, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role
A genuine passion for hospitality and interest in Italian cuisine and culture
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with an ability to multitask under pressure
Positive, confident demeanor and a professional appearance
Comfortable using reservation systems and POS terminals
Reliable, punctual, and proactive in problem-solving
Evening and weekend availability required
Compensation & Benefits
$19.50–$21.00/hour (depending on experience) + pooled tips
