Job Description The Lobby Restaurant and Lounge is located at the Pier Hotel at the Pier (North Vancouver) just steps away from Lonsdale Quay and the Seabus Terminal in North Vancouver Historic Shipyard. We are looking for a dynamic part time Hostess/Host who is outgoing, friendly and professional. Ideal Candidates will: Provide a fast and efficient attentive service Be hardworking and eager to learn Be a great team player with a positive attitude Is punctual and reliable Has a passion for customer service in a food and beverage environment Have full flexibility and availability (preferred) Weekend morning and evening availability is required Our goal is to offer guests outstanding dining experience in one of the most beautiful locations on the North Shore. Position Requirements: 1 year minimum in a front facing customer service role required Previous hostess/host experience preferred Hotel experience is considered an asset Experience with Open Table or similar online restaurant reservations systems Experience in providing customer service over the phone i.e. making reservations, answering questions, taking room service orders and anticipating guests needs Able to work in standing position for extended periods of time Have to be organized and tidy, with exceptional attention to detail Proven discipline in managing reservations and walk-in guests Posses a valid Serving it Right certification
