Dope Bakehouse is looking for an energetic, hospitality-loving barista to join our flagship location in North Van — a beautiful new space dedicated to pastry, coffee, and the kind of welcoming energy that makes a neighbourhood feel like home.
Whether you’re just getting into specialty coffee or you’ve been dialling in since dial-up internet was a thing, we want to hear from you.

The Role
• Make espresso and other drinks with consistency, skill, and speed.
• Connect with guests in meaningful, welcoming ways.
• Keep your station (and the space) clean, organized, and up to standard.
• Stay dialled in and maintain excellent coffee quality throughout service.
• Know your stuff — pastry menu, drink details, new offerings — and help guide guests through the experience.
• Be an active part of the team that’s shaping our HQ from day one.

Nemesis is a hospitality driven, specialty coffee company composed of highly dedicated baristas, chefs, and creatives. We utilise our pursuits of passion, and the spaces we explore them in as our catalyst to build community and create culture.
Created from humble beginnings, Nemesis set out with a simple yet daring vision: to re-imagine and redefine the meaning of coffee culture in Vancouver and beyond by harmoniously intertwining hospitality, specialty coffee, culinary excellence, design and the arts.
The word “Nemesis” perfectly captures our essence, our against the grain mentality, our need to express individuality, and our constant hunger to push the boundaries of coffee culture.
We wanted to take the power out of the word and give it new meaning; to remove any negative connotations and turn it into something that is authentically us. The inverted heart was a creation derived from love, the deep appreciation for our community, and our want to define our purpose within them. A symbol we can make with our hands, a gesture that can be expressed universally to embody these sentiments.
