Head Barista
We are looking for an experienced coffee professional to join us at our Polygon location! As the Head Barista, you will spearhead the location's coffee program, ensuring established standards are met and maintained while working closely with our roastery and coffee team to push coffee at Nemesis forward. A major part of this role is how you will use your own skills and experience to develop those around you. Head Baristas form an integral part of the leadership team alongside the Assistant Manager and General Manager, working in tandem to deliver training and opportunity to the wider team. Key Responsibilities
- Use your own passion for coffee to excite and encourage those around you to deepen their knowledge and push the boundaries of their skill
- Cultivating a positive work culture and building a high-performing team through effective hiring, training, and mentorship.
- Work closely with our Coffee Director in receiving and teaching our training material to other team members
- Driving operational excellence by bringing consistency to daily, weekly and monthly tasks while constantly seeking ways to streamline existing systems and processes without sacrificing quality
- Maintaining and elevating the guest experience by ensuring exceptional hospitality, and ambiance, actively seeking opportunities to exceed expectations
- Empowering your team to solve problems with creativity and care, turning challenges into memorable experiences
- Understanding and respecting what it takes to run, maintain and grow a business, leading drinks programming, ordering and inventory management for coffee
- Work closely and collaboratively with other departments and key players to execute seamless programming changes and additions
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers, local partners and the wider community to enhance our standing and communicate our values
- Uphold the highest level of safety, cleanliness and compliance standards to create a secure, reliable and safe environment for your guests and team alike

The inverted heart was a creation derived from love, the deep appreciation for our community, and our want to define our purpose within them. A symbol we can make with our hands, a gesture that can be expressed universally to embody these sentiments.
