Job Description

Position Summary:
The Event Bar Manager oversees all bar operations for catered events, ensuring seamless service, professional presentation, and an exceptional guest experience. This role combines leadership, organization, and hands-on bartending expertise. The Bar Manager works closely with the Event Manager and service team to uphold our company’s high standards and bring each event to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Preparation & Setup
-Review event details and bar menus in advance to ensure readiness.
-Coordinate with the Event Manager to confirm load-in times, bar setup needs, and service flow.
-Oversee bar setup, including glassware, garnish prep, beverage displays, and inventory organization.
-Ensure all bar equipment and supplies are clean, stocked, and event-ready.
-May be required to come in outside of event hours and pre-batch cocktails for upcoming events.

Service Execution
-Lead the bar team to deliver efficient, friendly, and professional service throughout the event.
-Maintain consistent drink quality, speed, and presentation.
-Engage with guests courteously while managing crowd flow and service timing.

Team Leadership
-Direct and support bar staff during service, ensuring everyone understands roles and timing.
-Communicate clearly with BOH and FOH teams for smooth event coordination.

Inventory & Closeout
-Track product usage and minimize waste throughout the event.
-Complete post-event inventory counts and report discrepancies or shortages.
-Oversee breakdown, ensuring all bar areas are clean, organized, and returned to pre-event condition.
-Submit closing reports to the Event Manager promptly after each event.


Requirements:

-Minimum 2-3 years bartending experience in catering, hospitality, or events.
-Prior experience in a supervisory role or bar lead role preferred
-Valid Serving It Right certification
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing event needs
-A passion for great service, teamwork, and the details that make events memorable
