Responsibilities for Conference Production Manager

• Contacting top-level decision-making executives for speaker recruitment purposes as well as research purposes
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with speakers for future events
• Independently managing the production of events as well as overseeing the production of team member events
• Copywriting & agenda writing, ensuring the content produced meets the needs of the key stakeholders
• Participating in and lead virtual and onsite rehearsals with speakers
• Thoroughly debriefing and documenting completed events and projects while focusing on best practices for continuous growth and improvement
• Keeping up to date with current industry trends, market activities, and the competitive landscape
• Overseeing the Production department including supporting the recruitment, training and ongoing mentoring of team members
• Collaborating with the Senior Vice President Conference Production on performance management responsibilities of team members
• Reviewing current processes and identifying alternative ways to solve problems, considering both costs and benefits
• Collaborating with other departments including Sales, Marketing and Operations to ensure event success

Qualifications for Conference Production Manager

• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing or Communications an asset)
• 5+ Years of Event Management experience, preference for Production experience and Speaker Recruitment
• End-to-end understanding of live conference production
• Collaborative with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Excellent customer service, communication and presentation skills
• Ambitious results-oriented individual with entrepreneurial drive
• Be highly skilled in handling multiple concurrent projects
• Ability and willingness to make cold calls to senior-level executives, with excellent telephone manner
• General business acumen and understanding of Fortune 1000 companies
• Willingness to travel to attend summits (roughly 5 per year)
• Experience leading a team

• This position will offer the opportunity for occasional travel
• Our company offers above the normal starting vacation and observes US holidays
