Summary of role

Due to continued growth and success, TPH Plumbing and Heating is looking to hire a Construction Project Manager. This is a newly created position in which you will oversee and lead large construction plumbing projects. You will manage a team of project professionals delivering high-quality and complex projects within the ICI sectors.

As the Construction Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will be planning and overseeing projects to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery, defining project scope and objectives, managing resource availability and allocation, and measuring project performance to ensure projects are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. You are responsible for leading project meetings and developing comprehensive project plans. You will maintain consistent open communication with Site Supervisors to ensure quality work through regular site visits and prepare monthly progress billing and updates for upper management.

As a leader, you will guide and support other project managers and support staff, delegating tasks based on the strengths, skill sets, and experience levels while looking for opportunities to support the growth and development of your team. Additionally, you will be client-facing, attending conferences, corporate events and job sites to clarify specific project requirements, as well as identify new business opportunities.

Is this for you?

You are a project management professional looking to grow with a forward-thinking company. TPH offers a challenging and rewarding environment where you can connect with clients, build trust, and lead projects that make a difference. You have extensive experience in the plumbing industry, holding a plumbing license or having at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role. You should possess a solid grasp of plumbing codes and regulations, as well as a proficiency in utilizing technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

In addition to technical expertise, you must demonstrate strong business acumen, the ability to lead a team effectively, and exceptional negotiation skills. As a leader, you bring a coaching approach with experience guiding and mentoring project teams, supporting them with more complex issues and guiding them towards solutions. You will have knowledge of pre-construction activities, including prefabrication and scheduling, as well as experience handling site issues and conducting pricing reviews.

From your time in the field, you will have developed a positive and well-respected reputation. You are an individual who is highly professional, communicative, transparent and driven to succeed. You are equally as comfortable being on a construction site as you are at a networking event or in a boardroom. Customer-facing skills are essential, as you will be interacting with clients regularly.
