Job Description

• Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
• Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Tasks

• Consult with family of deceased regarding funeral and related services
• Embalm remains
• Inform survivors of benefits
• Perform cosmetic work on remains
• Preserve, sanitize and prepare human remains for funeral services
• Maintain and order supplies
• Plan and schedule funeral services
• Complete legal documentation
• Maintain financial records
• Pre-arrange funerals

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

• Embalming Trade Certification
• Embalmer Licence
• Funeral Director Licence
• Driver's License

Security and safety

• Basic security clearance
• Driver's validity licence check

Transportation/travel information

• Valid driver's licence
