Job Description

Overview

Every person accessing mental health services should receive high quality care that helps them thrive. Greenspace is transforming the way that mental healthcare is accessed, measured, and delivered. We work every day to empower mental health systems, service providers, and individuals in care with the technology, insights, and expertise they need to provide the best care possible. Using our innovative and intuitive technology, our partners are able to easily implement Measurement-Based Care. From individual clinicians to small clinics, hospitals, campuses, or entire health systems – our solutions are built to flex to the unique needs and challenges of any workflow.

We are searching for a passionate, motivated, and growth-oriented individual to join our 12-person Sales team as Sales Development Representative (SDR). Your daily work will be on the front lines, identifying mental health organizations that meet our target customer profile and reaching out to their leaders directly. Success in this role involves consistently opening quality conversations with organizations across North America; and contributing to our outreach strategy and playbook.

SDR Responsibilities

  • Identify leaders and managers within mental health and substance use organizations (hospitals, community agencies and private clinics) that will benefit from the use of Greenspace.
  • Own a region/vertical/set of accounts, execute on an outreach and sales strategy that will evolve based on feedback in conversations and the data generated through your work.
  • Research and clearly understand your assignments, leveraging this in your messaging and calls.
  • Connect with target leads via phone, email and social media with the primary goals of educating and generating initial interest in Greenspace. This is to be done through clear messaging that aligns with their challenges/goals and by positioning Greenspace Health as a thought leader in this sector.
  • Maintain a healthy, active, and organized sales outreach pipeline - converting target accounts and leads into qualified discovery calls.
  • Collaborate directly with Account Executives, Sales Leadership, and SDR peers to strategize and move leads through to active sales opportunities.
  • Actively contribute to the organizational and sales team culture with a particular focus on consistent growth/iteration to drive results, a sky-is-the-limit mentality, and a one team mindset.

Key Skills and Traits

  • You are motivated by the Greenspace vision and align with our core values.
  • You have a demonstrated and strong interest in developing your sales skills and building a career in sales.
  • You have 0-2 years of experience in an outbound sales role or sales environment.
  • You have completed post-secondary education (or have similar experience).
  • You have very strong verbal and written communication skills. You are a quick-thinking and sharp conversationalist with an ability to create connections through digital media (phone, email, social media).
  • You are a motivated self-starter with a bias toward action. You are organized, methodical, logical, analytical, and have a great work ethic.
  • You approach challenging times with resilience, optimism, and a solutions-focus. You thrive working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Bonus: you have past experience working or volunteering within the mental health and substance use sector.

Our Culture

We are a startup, which means that you will have significant responsibility and an opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development and growth of our solutions. We are passionate about improving the quality of mental health care and improving the lives of millions of people. We believe in a collaborative work environment where everyone's view carries equal weight. Good ideas are good ideas and it doesn't matter whether they come from the CEO or the newest employee.

Diversity

We believe that diversity makes our organization stronger, and we are committed to being an equal opportunity employer. Greenspace recruits, employs, trains, compensates and promotes employees regardless of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.

Perks

  • Healthy work/life balance - we recognize that building a startup is a marathon, not a sprint.
  • Tight-knit collaborative work environment where we work in teams rather than siloed individuals.
  • Ongoing mentorship, coaching and personal development opportunities from experienced team members or external resources.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including paid parental leave and equity.
  • Remote/in-person hybrid work setting. The work location for this position will be in Toronto, Ontario. The team currently works 4 days/week remotely with an expected one day per week in office.

Compensation

Your compensation package will be competitive with an OTE of $65,000. This involves (i) a starting base salary of $45,000 and (ii) commission on discovery calls/sales (on-target expectation of $20,000). Candidates with an extensive and comparable SDR background may also be considered for the role of Senior SDR - which has an OTE of $80,000 (note: this is a high bar). Commission is uncapped and equity (stock options) in our fast-growing company are also included with all new hires.
