Job Description

The National Sales Manager- Canada will spearhead the development and execution of robust strategies to drive product sales across all categories to Canadian retailers, catalogers, and online partners. This role entails comprehensive responsibility for strategic planning, daily operations, and managing key accounts within the Canadian market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans across various distribution channels.
  • Hire, manage, and evaluate a national network of sales agencies to effectively represent and service Hunter Fan products throughout Canada.
  • Directly manage key national accounts and cultivate long-term relationships with buyers.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations to key customers and sales agencies.
  • Develop product quotations and establish price lists by product category.
  • Plan and participate in customer tradeshows, ensuring impactful booth set-up and sales presentations.
  • Report directly to the Director of Sales Showroom, overseeing all business functions within the Canadian Division.
  • Oversee Canadian product development and establish comprehensive marketing strategies by product category.
  • Manage product ordering and forecasting functions for over 1,000 active SKUs.
  • Prepare reporting and participate in monthly SOP process.
  • Plan and execute category line reviews for national accounts, covering all product categories.
  • Negotiate pricing and establish contracts with all vendors, including EDI, brokerage, sea freight, and merchandising suppliers.
  • Manage and direct third-party warehousing and distribution centers, including annual contract negotiations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Administration required.
  • Minimum of five years of professional sales experience, preferably in the home improvement industry.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop relationships across all levels of customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow up aggressively and effectively with key customers.
  • Strong administrative skills, self-motivation, and ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
