Job Description

The Finance Manager is integral to the financial health and operational efficiency of Payment Source. This role involves managing the Finance team, streamlining accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to financial planning and strategy. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and has a solid background in accounting principles and practices, particularly in high-volume transaction settings.


Key Functions/Duties:

  • Lead and manage the Finance team, ensuring efficient task allocation, high-quality work output, and professional development.
  • Develop and maintain robust accounting processes and systems to handle high volumes of transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Enhance financial reporting mechanisms, providing critical financial information and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and oversee banking, accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure optimal liquidity.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax filings and regulations, working closely with external advisors as necessary.
  • Lead internal process improvement initiatives, leveraging technology to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Coordinate with the Payment Operations team to ensure efficient financial operations and provide financial insights to support decision-making across the company.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting and financial forecasting processes, aligning financial plans with company goals.
  • Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and any required financial reviews.
  • Liaise with insurance providers to ensure appropriate risk coverage.
  • Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required by the CFO.
  • Payroll processing backup as required.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Working towards CPA or equivalent certification; CPA preferred.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
  • Ideally with 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Experience in Technology company with high-transaction volume environment preferred.
