Finance BI Analytics Manager

Job Description

Our client is an agency under the Government of Ontario. They are currently looking for a Finance BI Analytic Manager to maintain best practice design standards across the integrated corporate system. This person will be leading the integration of highly complex financial and reporting systems, developing data models, metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business needs, as well as leading business recommendations to drive business process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance and technical expertise.
• Oversees project team and monitors work assignments for adherence to timelines.
• Provide solutions and recommendations aligned with business strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards across the finance systems portfolio, to meet business needs and improve operations through informed decision-making and analysis.
• Forge and maintain strong partnerships with key business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality system configurations, customizations, and data integrations

Requirements:

• Completion of a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline - or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in business applications, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
• Understanding and comfort with the integration of highly complex financial and reporting systems, e.g., Oracle EBS, Unifier, Revenue Systems, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse.
• Experience with data visualization tools, e.g., Tableau, Power BI
• Technical knowledge of data integration, system configuration, and customization techniques and principles.
• Demonstrated project management and business analysis experience.
• Leadership ability to lead, coach, mentor and manage a team of technical project professionals.
