About the Role


Sago Mini is seeking an experienced Digital Production Manager to empower our team to deliver the best possible digital products for kids! This is a process focused role responsible for facilitating and clarifying team initiatives and goals. Oversee game development projects through their life cycle, and right into excited kids’ hands!


This is a hybrid role that requires the successful candidate to attend our downtown, Toronto studio at least once a week.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Regularly meet with your team to allocate tasks and discuss progress and/or setbacks
  • Facilitate the team’s work using agile techniques
  • Own the prioritization of deliverables, address concerns along the way, and review progress
  • Help ensure the on-time delivery of the product - meeting the release schedule
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver on the product’s promise
  • Communicate milestones, present updates, and gather feedback
  • Track, monitor, and analyze the production schedule; rescope & adjust strategies when needed
  • Be your team’s #1 cheerleader! Find ways to support, recognize and celebrate their successes
  • Create, prioritize, and maintain production backlogs
  • Lead bug management for team deliverables
  • Support the yearly product roadmap development process



Qualification and Skills

  • Expertise in project management
  • Practical experience with agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple cross-functional teams with 10+ members
  • Fluency in software development, design, and UX
  • Understanding of how games are made
  • Ability to deconstruct a project into high level tasks
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • An openness to learn the basics of the technical tools we use like Unity and Illustrator


Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of design and UX
  • Mobile game and app experience
  • A creative flair or background
  • Experience making content for kids
