The Gladstone House is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of service and guest satisfaction at our establishments, primarily covering shifts as a floor supervisor in our new Restaurant Cassette. In addition to front-of-house leadership, this position includes light administrative duties such as tip-outs and labour management. Position: F&B Supervisor (Permanent Full-Time)
Responsibilities:
Shift Coverage & Leadership:
Act as Maître d' for shifts in Cassette, ensuring seamless operations and an exceptional guest experience.
Oversee and support service staff, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to service standards.
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
Monitor dining areas for cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Administrative Duties:
Accurately manage and process daily tip-outs for service staff.
Assist with labour management tasks, including basic scheduling adjustments and attendance tracking.
Complete end-of-shift reports and other necessary documentation.
Operational Support:
Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed for both Cassette.
Assist with inventory management and ordering as needed.
Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure efficient service flow.
Support training initiatives for new and existing staff members.
You Have:
Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role within a high-volume restaurant, bar, or hotel food and beverage operation.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on guest service.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including long periods of time on your feet, walking, standing, bending, and reaching throughout shifts.
