Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Previous bartending experience (typically 5-7 years, depending on venue) Bartending certification or mixology training (a plus) Knowledge of local alcohol laws and responsible service (e.g., age verification) Skills & Knowledge Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine Ability to mix, garnish, and serve drinks accurately and efficiently Cash handling and POS system experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for handling payments and tabs Personal Qualities Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Ability to work well as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and well-organized Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods Ability to lift and carry items (kegs, boxes, ice buckets) up to 25–50 lbs Manual dexterity for handling glassware and bar tools Work Conditions Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to work under pressure during peak hours Legal Requirements Must meet minimum legal age to serve alcohol Valid alcohol service certification (where required by law)
