Job Description

Blueblood Steakhouse at Casa Loma are seeking a friendly and attentive Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves mixing drinks, managing cash transactions, and ensuring all patrons enjoy a safe and enjoyable experience in our establishment.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and billing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and serving their needs efficiently.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions.
• Restock bar supplies as needed, monitor inventory levels, and assist with opening or closing duties.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment that promotes hospitality and guest satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of hospitality experience
• Extensive spirit, cocktail, and wine knowledge
• Experience in a high-volume cocktail bar an asset
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Strong conversational skills demonstrating luxury verbiage to maximize sales
• Positive, high-energy individual
• The ability to work and strengthen a team dynamic
• Demonstrates the ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
• Available to work weekdays, nights, weekends, holidays
• Valid Smart Serve certification required
• Must be legally able to work in Canada
