**Job Summary**
The Executive Chef is in charge of operating a cost-effective, clean, and safe kitchen environment while meeting or exceeding food quality and speed of service requirements. Management of the team and responsible for the overall quality of the food production.
Please note: You must already have legal permission to work in Canada to be considered for this role.
**RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including but not limited to)
- Ensures all team members perform their duties to standard while encouraging and motivating teamwork.
- Communicates job expectations to team members clearly and effectively.
- Manages and develops team members' performance by providing monthly feedback, annual performance appraisals, and discipline where necessary
- Handles guest concerns, compliments, and suggestions in a professional manner, using LEARN processes and principles
- Finds a resolution to any kitchen operational issue promptly.
- Conduct ongoing training sessions to enhance culinary skills, techniques, and knowledge among the kitchen staff.
- Ensures the quality and quantity of food production meet or exceed predetermined standards
- Completes ordering of all food products consistent with business levels and budgeted food costs
- Assists Sales and Events in designing menus specific to client/guest requests
- Creates, develops new recipes for the restaurant, costing, and implements new menus as needed based on global food trends
- Monitors productivity, making necessary adjustments to operate within the budgeted guidelines
- Participates in the month-end food inventory
- Collaborate and provide support on social media initiatives, including online reputation management, content creation, and social customer service.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Excellent Guest Relations Skills, a proven ability to motivate, mentor, guide, and discipline by restaurant policies
- At least 5 years of experience managing kitchen operations
- An Advanced Food Safety certificate is an asset
- Knowledge of local health, safety, and sanitation laws
- Knowledge of food costing and kitchen management
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Latin American cuisine is an asset
- Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends
