In the hostess role, you will interact directly with guests. You will be expected to have a polished look, dressed neatly and appropriately to make a good impression. Maintaining a friendly, approachable attitude is crucial in this position.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage Open Table reservations and waitlist
Greet and welcome arriving guests
Escort guests to their tables or the waiting area
Takes reservations and assign guests on the waiting list
Answers phone calls and inquiries
Assist restaurant staff when necessary
Maintain clean and organized tables, chairs, and dining sets
Provide menu and server information
Buss/clean tables as required
Job Requirements:
Relevant hostess experience
Must have: extensive experience with Open Table including but not limited to Waitlist and Reservations optimizing dinning room seating plans for profitability and table turnover
Outstanding communication skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to interact with multiple types of people
Able to move constantly and remain on feet for long periods of time
Excellent personal hygiene and customer service skills
A valid Smart Serve certificate
