Languages: English
Education: Considered an asset to be versed in food handling safety parameters including: HACCP, FIFO, Flow of Food, receiving, temperature control, Code of Practice, cleaning/maintenance of all equipment, foodborne pathogens/infections.
Experience: 2-3 years minimum cooking experience and/or kitchen management in Ethiopian Cuisine and possess understanding and knowledge of Ethiopian tradition and culture in respect to culinary arts.
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks:
-Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers
-Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
-Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events
-Must have profound knowledge and experience with the various cooking spices used in -Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine and understand the subtleties of flavour pairings
-Maintain and monitor high standard in quality, equipment cleanliness, maintenance, and practice exceptional work and food safety
-Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
-Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
-Requisition food and kitchen supplies
-Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
-Staff in various areas of responsibility
