We are a small, independent 30-seat restaurant known for our warm atmosphere, seasonal menus, and focus on high-quality service. Our team is passionate about hospitality, and we take pride in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Server / Assistant Manager to join our team.
Position Summary:
As the Lead Server / Assistant Manager, you will play a dual role in both front-of-house service and day-to-day management support. You’ll be a key part of our leadership team—guiding service, training staff, and ensuring smooth operations during service. This is an ideal role for someone looking to take the next step in their hospitality career in a hands-on and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead front-of-house service with professionalism and a focus on guest satisfaction
Support the General Manager with opening and closing duties
Assist in scheduling, inventory management, and ordering
Train and mentor new and existing staff
Handle guest concerns with confidence and care
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
Requirements:
4+ years of serving experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
A strong work ethic is a must—reliability, initiative, and a proactive attitude are key to success in this role
Ability to lead by example and foster a team-oriented atmosphere
Smart Serve certification required
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
WSET or other wine certification is considered a strong asset, but not required
Compensation:
