Job Description

Tasks

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare and handle ingredients, sauces, and food items while ensuring freshness and proper food handling procedures.
• Assist in menu preparation and contribute to the development of new dishes and daily specials.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Assist with inventory control, food storage, and receiving deliveries of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations during busy service periods.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare Italian-inspired dishes and assist in the preparation and cooking of artisanal pizzas, including dough preparation and oven cooking techniques.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or professional kitchen environment
• Knowledge of general cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• Experience with Italian cuisine and pizza preparation is considered an asset
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
• Proficiency in English or French required
