Splash Catering at Casa Loma is seeking experienced Barbacks for the Summer 2026 season. Applicants should expect a highly systematic and deliberately paced service, with a strong focus on every detail of the guest experience.
Responsibilities
• Support the bar team with opening and closing duties — stocking ice, alcohol, wine, glassware, garnishes, and supplies.
• Run and serve cocktails, wine, and beer with speed and accuracy in a high-energy setting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
• Assist with cocktail prep, including house syrups, infusions, and premium ingredients.
• Stay sharp on table numbers, seat numbers, and have excellent tray-carrying skills.
• Learn our food and cocktail menus to support service and guest inquiries.
• Uphold cleanliness by wiping surfaces, clearing glassware, cleaning coolers, and handling trash and recycling.
• Support the bartenders and management with various back-of-house tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
• Smart Serve Certified • Previous bar or banquet experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and team mentality
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet during shifts
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and willingness to learn
• Open availability on weekends is a must
• Able to legally work in Canada
