The Green Wood will soon open the doors of its new West location at King and Spadina. We are currently hiring hosts! :)
First impressions are the key. We are looking for individuals who can offer a warm, genuine, and personal welcome to all of our guests. As you are the first point of contact, it is crucial that your interaction with our guests will be a positive encounter, which leads them into an overall excellent dining experience in our venue.
Requirements for Applying:
-Ability to work at an excellent level of service at all times in a fast-paced/high volume environment
-Strong customer awareness
-SmartServe certified and a minimum of 18 years of age
Responsibilities & Expectations include:
-Ensure a friendly, efficient, courteous, and high level of service at all times
-Build a good working relationship with your colleagues in all departments by maintaining a high level of communication, teamwork, and always being respectful
-Be ready to work – you should be fully knowledgeable of SevenRooms (our reservation system) and Outlook (our email system)
-Proficient Product Knowledge – you should be fully knowledgeable of all of our food and beverage offerings
-Carry out jobs as dictated by the management team
-Always arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time in order to prepare yourself adequately for the shift ahead
Appreciated Skill Sets
-A minimum of 1-year experience as a host
-Strong Leadership skills
-Strong Admin Skills
