Franks Pizza Bar began as a distillery, evolved into a cocktail bar, and has grown into a focused New York-style pizza concept delivering 40-60 covers per night across a tight, high-energy dinner service (Wednesday–Sunday).
We are seeking a capable Sous Chef — or a highly skilled Chef de Partie ready to step into leadership — who wants genuine responsibility, input, and progression.
This is not just a section-running role. It’s an opportunity to help shape and elevate a growing pizza program within a small, ambitious team.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position in a structured, systems-driven kitchen.
You will:
Lead dinner service with consistency and control
Take full operational responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
Maintain high prep standards, organisation, and cleanliness
Uphold and refine systems to ensure quality and efficiency
Contribute to dough management, fermentation process, and menu development
Play a key role in the continued growth of the kitchen
You won’t just be executing — you’ll be helping build.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a professional kitchen
Confident service leadership in high-intensity dinner environments
Strong pizza and dough knowledge, including fermentation control
Organisational skills and disciplined prep habits
Ambition to grow within a developing concept
Proven experience at Sous Chef level
This role suits someone thinking beyond their current title — someone ready to operate at Sous Chef level and grow with the business.
What We Offer
Starting at $22+ per hour, with higher rates considered for proven experience
Kitchen share of tips
5-day dinner operation (Wednesday–Sunday)
Clear progression opportunities as the concept develops
Start Date: ASAP
