Elio Volpe is seeking a full time Pastry Line Cook to join our growing team.
Osteria Elio Volpe is the newest Banda Volpi addition to Vancouver’s dining scene, which features a bright, open dining room, a lively wraparound bar, and a warm, sun-soaked atmosphere inspired by the southern coasts and islands of Italy.
In the kitchen, Elio Volpe brings together bold southern Italian flavours with the best of Pacific Northwest ingredients. The menu is focused on freshness and simplicity — from handmade pastas and whole fish cooked over fire, to seasonal vegetables, coastal crudos, and deeply satisfying mains. Every dish is rooted in classic Italian technique, reimagined with energy and curiosity.
Elio Volpe is part of Banda Volpi —(meaning “gang of foxes”) a leading hospitality group in Vancouver that includes Osteria Savio Volpe, La Tana, and Pepino’s Spaghetti House. Widely recognized as one of Vancouver’s top restaurant groups, Banda Volpi restaurants have received numerous accolades, including Michelin recommendations, Vancouver Magazine’s Best Italian and Best New Restaurant, Gold at the Vancouver International Wine Festival, and recognition on Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants.
Joining our kitchen team means being part of a company that values excellence, collaboration, and craft — with opportunities to grow and evolve across all locations. We’re looking for passionate, hardworking cooks who are excited by fresh ingredients, disciplined technique, and the camaraderie of a high-functioning kitchen. If you’re driven to learn and love working in a place where food matters, we’d love to hear from you.
Our Culture Pillars:
We are driven by our Culture Pillars—the values that guide everything we do:
Located in Cambie Village in a building with a sense of character and history — Osteria Elio Volpe was previously a mechanic’s shop — the 4,200 square foot space features 115 seats, an expansive open-air dining room, and focal bar with wrap-around seating. An intimate and social space for occasions both celebratory and casual.
Elio Volpe, our namesake fox, is young, carefree and curious; similarly, Elio’s home is irreverent, playful and beautifully exemplifies the best of Italian hospitality with a distinctly sunny disposition.
Taking cues from Italy’s storied south, with its famed coasts and islands, rich history, and relaxed lifestyle, Elio Volpe celebrates the best ingredients from the Pacific Northwest as inspired by il mezzogiorno, the ancient seafaring term for the wind from the south, now colloquially used to describe that part of the country.
Above all else, Elio celebrates liveliness, warmth, a lust for life, and a deep love of food.
