ABOUT OSTERIA ELIO VOLPE
Osteria Elio Volpe is a bright, coastal-inspired osteria in the heart of Cambie Village, opened in Spring 2024. Housed in a former mechanic’s shop, the space has been transformed into an open, sun-soaked dining room with a lively wraparound bar and a warm, easygoing energy. Drawing inspiration from southern Italy’s coasts and islands, Elio brings together bold flavours, fresh Pacific Northwest ingredients, and a spirited approach to Italian hospitality.
As the latest addition to Banda Volpi — the acclaimed restaurant group behind Savio Volpe, La Tana, and Pepino’s Spaghetti House — Elio is part of a team recognized for creating some of Canada’s most well-regarded dining experiences. Banda Volpi (meaning “gang of foxes”) has earned a national reputation, celebrated for emphasizing thoughtful cuisine, warm hospitality, and exceptional service. The group has received numerous accolades, including Michelin recommendations, a variety of Vancouver Magazine awards, Gold at the Vancouver International Wine Festival, and placements on Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants.
We’re seeking front-of-house team members who take genuine pride in creating thoughtful, memorable hospitality experiences. From greeting guests and guiding their visit to offering wine recommendations to setting the tone at the door, you’ll play a key role in shaping a service-driven environment built on care, collaboration, and attention to detail.
This is an opportunity to grow with one of the nation’s most renowned restaurant groups, connecting with a network of support and mentorship across all locations. If you’re passionate about Italian cuisine and want to be part of a group that values warmth, curiosity, and craft — we’d love to meet you.
OUR CULTURE PILLARS
We are driven by our Culture Pillars — the values that guide everything we do:
WE SHOW UP FOR EACH OTHER.
Located in Cambie Village in a building with a sense of character and history — Osteria Elio Volpe was previously a mechanic’s shop — the 4,200 square foot space features 115 seats, an expansive open-air dining room, and focal bar with wrap-around seating. An intimate and social space for occasions both celebratory and casual.
Elio Volpe, our namesake fox, is young, carefree and curious; similarly, Elio’s home is irreverent, playful and beautifully exemplifies the best of Italian hospitality with a distinctly sunny disposition.
Taking cues from Italy’s storied south, with its famed coasts and islands, rich history, and relaxed lifestyle, Elio Volpe celebrates the best ingredients from the Pacific Northwest as inspired by il mezzogiorno, the ancient seafaring term for the wind from the south, now colloquially used to describe that part of the country.
Above all else, Elio celebrates liveliness, warmth, a lust for life, and a deep love of food.
