The Role
We are hiring Shift Leaders to help bring our matcha bar to life during daily service.
This role is focused on leading the floor and delivering a consistently high standard of execution during each shift. You will guide the team in real time, maintain flow and organization, and ensure every guest interaction reflects our standards.
This role is best suited for someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and is interested in growing into a long-term career in hospitality.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Leading the floor
Take ownership of the floor during your shifts
Guide the team through service with calm, clarity, and presence
Maintain strong pace, flow, and organization during peak periods
Delivering the guest experience
Ensure every guest interaction reflects our standards
Step in to support and elevate service when needed
Help create a thoughtful, welcoming, and memorable environment
Supporting the team
Coach baristas in real time to improve performance
Reinforce attention to detail and consistency
Lead by example through your own work ethic and standards
Maintaining standards
Ensure drink quality, cleanliness, and presentation are consistent
Execute opening and closing procedures to a high standard
Identify issues early and take initiative to resolve them
Who This Is For
1–3+ years of experience in a café or hospitality environment
Previous experience as a shift lead or informal team leader is preferred
You are calm, composed, and reliable during busy service
You lead by example and naturally support those around you
You have strong attention to detail and take pride in your work
You communicate clearly and effectively
You care about hospitality and creating a positive guest experience
Experience in specialty coffee, tea, or premium hospitality is a strong plus.
Requirements
FoodSafe Level 1 (preferred) or willingness to obtain shortly after hiring
Availability for weekends and flexible scheduling
Ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly rate: $20.50/hour + tips
