Job Description

We are currently seeking a Hospitality Host/Doorman to be part of Vancouver's newest hotspot-Parker Rooftop, situated on the nineth floor of The Parker Hotel, (formerly known as the Vintage Park Hotel.)
We are looking for individuals who are skilled problem solvers with a high attention to detail. The Hospitality Host/Doorman position involves a large amount of contact with Parker restaurant and hotel guests, as well as residents & hotel personnel. Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills are strongly required, as you will be the front-line ambassador to our beautiful restaurant/rooftop. This position is physical in nature and will require standing for up to 8 hours and the ability to lift up to 50lbs if needed.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years working in the hospitality industry, in roles such as a concierge, hospitality security guard, VIP Host, doorman or another applicable role.

Responsibilities of a Hospitality Host/Doorman include:
• Provide excellent guest service upon greeting our guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Act as a front-line ambassador to residents, rooftop & hotel guests.
• Maintain a strong optical and tangible image of positivity, and decorum.
• Provide support to Parker Rooftop management as required.
• Be aware of emergency exits, general operation of an elevator.
• Address and report incidents in a timely manner according to protocol to the General Manager.
• Diffuse any guest situations/altercations, should they arise, using non-aggressive tactics and calling 911 when necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance, in accordance with the Company’s dress code.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence when handling conflict situations and making quick decisions.

REQUIREMENTS
• Preference will be towards applicants that have completion of Basic Security Training or hold a valid BC Security Worker License
• Must be physically fit and have the ability to stand for long periods of time
• SevenRooms, hospitality experience an asset
• First Aid and any other relevant course an asset
