You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our discerning guests in a sophisticated and vibrant atmosphere. Your primary role will be to deliver a personalized dining experience, ensuring that guests feel welcome, comfortable, and attended to throughout their visit. You will be knowledgeable about our extensive cocktail menu, wine list, and food offerings, providing recommendations and guidance to enhance guests' dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
Guest Service: Greet guests warmly upon arrival. Engage with guests in a professional and friendly manner, anticipate their needs, and ensure their satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
Menu Knowledge: Thoroughly familiarize yourself with the cocktail menu, wine list, and food offerings. Provide detailed descriptions of beverages and dishes, offer recommendations based on guests' preferences, and answer any questions regarding ingredients, preparation methods and flavour profiles.
Order Taking and Accuracy: Take guests' orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff. Enter orders into the point-of-sale system promptly and verify accuracy before submitting to the kitchen.
Food Service: Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders to guests' tables. Monitor food quality and presentation, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
Upselling and Promotion: Actively promote featured cocktails, wines, and menu items to increase sales and enhance guests' experiences. Upsell additional beverages or desserts when appropriate, utilizing persuasive communication skills without being pushy.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other restaurant staff, including bartenders, hosts/hostesses, and kitchen personnel, to ensure smooth service operations and a cohesive guest experience.
A minimum of 3 years in a fast paced bar setting is preferred.
