You are a self motivated, hard working and loyal person with at least 5 years experience in all aspects of the kitchen. You have been either a sous chef or kitchen manager and are looking to advance your career by becoming our head chef! You will have a lot of creative control because we offer daily specials that you get to create. You are someone who wants to grow with our company, and enjoy taking the lead!
Minimum 5 years working on line, with leadership experience
- You have to absolutely love working with food. We are not looking for someone just looking for a check to pay the rent.
- Food safe level 1
- You will be required to cost/prep/create menus and meet food cost expectations
- Easy going personality especially under stress
-This job requires personal organization, attention to detail and cleanliness of yourself and your work space
-Must be able to stand for long periods of time, enjoy and/or tolerate rock/metal music and lift and carry up to 50lbs throughout the shift
-Feel comfortable working in a small and often warm kitchen environment
-Feel comfortable working independently and as part of a team
-Must possess thoroughness and time management skills
-Must be legally allowed to work in Canada (sin number)
We don't try to be anything else aside from a place we’d want to hang out in ourselves. We’re a local heavy metal dive bar, the vibe is friendly and chill. Our walls are covered in rock and horror posters, thrift shop finds, and artwork contributed by rad local artists. We live for music, and we’re always spinning rock n roll, metal, stoner rock, and local favorites like 3 Inches of Blood, Bison, and Black Wizard. We proudly make homemade comfort bar food.
