Our team has over two decades of experience owning and operating cafes, making fantastic pastries and roasting really, really good coffee. And while our foundation will always be quality ingredients – in our coffee, in our baking, and in our food – our real obsession is delivering remarkably excellent service.
This position will be for both days and nights, and must have open availability or at least 4 days available a week.
Formal culinary training and experience is an asset, but not always a requirement.
Willing to train the right person.
Our menu will continue to focus on contemporary cuisine with ingredients sourced from local farms, prepared with a variety of different cooking techniques, and textures.
A positive work-life balance is important to us and we do everything we can to nurture those goals. This includes sustainable hours, an amazing environment to work in. Shifts vary but will include mornings, evenings and weekends.
The ideal candidate would have: – Minimum 2 year of experience cooking in restaurants. – An aptitude for organization and cleanliness - And an ability and willingness to spot and help solve problems.
Training can begin immediately.

What You’ll Do:
As key player within JA, you will support our mission to make our team, our community, a better and growing place daily
Duties will include:
Ensure all inventory of food and equipment is accounted for and secured upon closing of kitchen.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership to all cooks within the kitchen assisting with work, training, and development, including overview and updates on policies and procedures as needed.
