Job Description

LIFT BAR AND GRILL located in Coal Harbour, is currently looking for cooks to join our team. We are getting ready the summer season are seeking to hire full-time and part-time positions. Staggered start dates .

Wages are above industry standard at $20-25/hr, collective tip pool paid in cash, team activities.

Lift has lunch(1130am), brunch(11am) and dinner service(no late nights).

We have a dessert, lunch, brunch, and dinner program.

Hiring For: An all round line cook willing to learn each station:

PM Protein Cook - Grill and Stove

• Experience cooking fish, steaks and proteins.
• Great attitude, ability to cope in high-volume situations.
• Has a successful track record of quality cooking.
• Sense of awareness of working within tight space with fellow cooks.
• Good verbal kitchen communication.

Brunch / Lunch

• Knowledge working breakfast and lunch stations
• Great attitude, ability to cope in high-volume situations
• Has successful track record of working in a systems-based kitchen, managing par levels for line set-up, prep, and order guide order
• Enjoys learning new roles, adaptable to change.

Garde Manger

• Seafood, Salads, Appetizers, Desserts: set up station, read bills, communicate
• Some light prep, organizing, cleaning

Key Accountabilities:

• Maintain standards to ensure quality, and quantity of food production meets expectations.
• Ensure work station is organized, and speed of service is timely.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes to ensure consistent results
• Responsible for storage and rotation of food items
• Additional duties as required

Qualification Requirements:

• Basic Food Safe certification or equivalent. Can apply while arrangement is made to secure certification.
• Basic understanding of refined cooking techniques
• Willingness to adapt to unique & special requests in order to meet guest expectations
• Completed culinary arts training or minimum 2 years culinary experience is preferred
