Maria Celeste, a modern Portuguese tasca opening this summer in Vancouver’s Fraserhood, is hiring!

We are currently looking for:

• Head Bartender
• Bartenders

About Us:

At Maria Celeste, we are building a warm, hospitality-driven team rooted in thoughtful service, delicious food, Portuguese wine, cocktails, and genuine human connection.

Head Bartender
Our Head Bartender will lead the bar team, oversee daily operations, help shape the beverage program, and create a strong and positive team culture. We’re looking for someone with leadership experience, strong cocktail and wine knowledge, and a passion for hospitality.

Duties:

• Oversee daily bar operations and service flow
• Lead, train, and support the bar team
• Maintain inventory and assist with ordering
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar
• Assist with cocktail development and wine service
• Uphold hospitality and service standards

Bartenders
Our Bartenders will work closely with the team to create thoughtful drinks and memorable guest experiences while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming bar environment.

Duties:

• Prepare cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Provide warm and attentive guest service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and service teams
• Follow all food safety and responsible service standards

Servers
Our Servers will provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service while helping create a dining experience centred around hospitality, conversation, and community.

Duties:

• Guide guests through food and beverage menus
• Provide professional and attentive table service
• Maintain a clean and organized dining room
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams
• Assist with opening and closing side work
• Create thoughtful and memorable guest experiences
